2026 Chicago Auto Show
The 2026 Chicago Auto Show has come and gone and I wanted to provide a recap of the event. Every year in February the Chicago auto show happens and it is always one of my favorite events over the winter here in Chicago. This year the Chicago auto show had an interesting combination of appeal. they continued to add more access to local cars mixed in with the new car offerings. The show had plenty of manufactures and test tracks to choose from. One of my favorite additions was the Chitown Alley. They allowed a few local car clubs from the area to showcase their cars and they had a car show where 6 local cars got to compete for the best ride in all of Chicagoland.
The Chicago autoshow continues to be a great activity for the whole family to check out during the winter. It is a great experience whether your in the market for a new car or not. If you didn’t get a chance to see it this year you should definitely mark your calendar for next year. There is plenty of food, activities, activation’s and even rides to check out at this event. Additionally the event runs for over a week so there is no excuse to miss it.
Some of my favorite cars or booths this year were (no surprise) Subaru, they continue to have the very best booth it is so immersive and really gives you a sense of the branding plus all the puppies are awesome. Toyota’s booth was great plus all of their new cars are awesome. Chevy’s booth was realy cool showing off cars for America’s 250th anniversary, their Corvettes, and who could forget the Simracing. Stellantis had a cool booth with Camp Jeep and all of their rides including the return of the TRX which is currently my favorite truck. The only bummer for me from the whole event was there are still too many electric cars in the market and not a lot of diversity of design. Two of the only cool designed electric cars was the electric Escalade and the VW ID Buzz.
Below you will find my media recap of the event.
